147 Police Recruits Join Police Force

Nearly one hundred and fifty new recruits have joined the ranks of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

One hundred and forty-seven (147) new police constables were involved in a passing out parade at the National Police College of Jamaica’s Harman Barracks Campus in Kingston on Wednesday, August 7.

The new members of the Force were congratulated on the completion of their training as, according to Minister of National Security, Dr. Horace Chang, this was a reflection of purpose, strength of character, and unwavering dedication to Jamaica.

“Through your efforts, you will be able to reaffirm the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) as a premier Force for good, with truly Jamaican characteristics. You will be able to accomplish this through respect for your fellow Jamaicans [and] strong community spirit,” Dr Chang stated.

The security Minister reminded the graduates they must serve respecting the rights of the Jamaican people. He said the Police Commissioner was working to transform the Force and the Government would provide the necessary resource for its members.
