Three people died on the roads in crashes in a 12-hour period between Friday evening and this morning, Saturday, November 24.
Two of those killed are unidentified and one has been identified as thirty-one-year-old Khodero Tyrell of Cherry Gardens, Kingston 8.
The two unidentified men were killed in a crash, Friday just after 6 p.m. that involved two vehicles along the Queens Highway Discovery Bay, St Ann.
Reports from the Discovery Bay Police are that about 6:15 p.m., the driver of a Nissan Frontier pick-up truck was traveling, east, from Montego Bay. On reaching a section of the roadway, the pickup collided with a Nissan AD Waggon with two men aboard that was allegedly making a turn on the highway.
All persons sustained multiple injuries and were taken to hospital where the two men who were traveling in the Nissan AD Wagon were pronounced dead and the driver of the Nissan Frontier pick-up truck was treated and released.
Khodero Tyrell of Cherry Gardens died as a result of injuries he received in the crash Saturday morning on the PJ Patterson Highway, St. Catherine.
Reports from the Ferry Police are that about 3:30 a.m., Tyrell was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser motor vehicle heading towards Kingston. Upon reaching a section of the roadway, he allegedly lost control of the vehicle which crashed into the perimeter fence and then overturned.
Police said the vehicle was badly mangled.
Tyrell sustained multiple injuries and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
