Three people died in one traffic crash in Manchester Thursday, March 7, bringing to at least four the number of people killed in road crashes Wednesday and Thursday.
Dead are: 25-year-old Osheen Wint, seven-year-old Daniella Wint and 25-year-old Rojae Samuels, all of Stony Hill in St. Andrew.
Reports are that about 7:30 p.m., the three were travelling westerly on the Melrose Bypass in a Totoya Mark X motor car when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it crashed into a truck that was travelling in the opposite direction. Daniella and Osheen Wint and Rojae Samuels were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The Porus police are investigating.
And police are reporting that sixty-year-old Norman Spence, labourer of Newland district, Lionel Town in Clarendon was killed in a motor vehicle collision along Dawkins Pen main road in the parish on Wednesday, March 6.
Reports from the Lionel Town Police are that about 7:30 p.m., Spence was driving an Eagle motorcycle when the driver of a Toyota Succeed motor car collided into the motorcycle. They were taken to hospital where Spence was pronounced dead.
