A Controversial End To Summa Sizzle


Beenie Man’s Summa Sizzle Music Festival staged last weekend, Saturday, August 10, at the Woodleigh Sporting Complex in Clarendon saw a massive show of support for the dancehall king with industry players turning out for the event.

The venue almost packed to capacity as fans turned out for the highly anticipated event which got off to an impressive start with the delivery of very strong opening set from gospel sensation Rondell Positive who conquered the large crowd with his high energy set. Gospel deejay Chozzen also delivered a stellar performance.

The event showing obvious support for upcoming talent and saw a downpour in each segment of the show, reflecting an organizational issue.

Notwithstanding the event sizzled with performances by veteran entertainers Admiral Bailey, Josey Whales and veteran selector Sky Juice all delivering immaculate performances taking fans down memory lane during well-received sets.

Other notable performances include Prohgres, Gyptian, Fantan Mojah, Star Face, Maestro Don, Laden, QQ and Lalee.

As the dusk cleared and the morning skies opened the weary crowd re-energized by Capleton and the legendary Bounty Killer creating anticipation for the man of the moment and the heavily publicized 6ix at 6 performances.

The 6ix -team served supporting fans another no show which has since sparked major controversy.
