The Health and Wellness Ministry yesterday, Thursday, June 26 began processing more than 60 COVID-19 tests administered in the highly populated West Kingston area. This is as a result of the recent confirmation of five new cases of the virus in one of the communities.
The ministry says a total of 100 health staff which include nurses, public health inspectors, public health nurses, and community health aides conducted house-to-house visits, testing residents.
The five new cases were recorded on Wednesday and are all from West Kingston which are contacts of a confirmed case that recently returned to the island on a flight from the United States.
