Four-time Olympian and leading Jamaican swimmer, Alia Atkinson, over the weekend won the short course 50m and 100m breaststroke events at the London leg of the International Swimming League.
Atkinson won the 100m in 1:03.94 for her team “Team Iron Star” and made it a double win as she won the 50-meter breaststroke in an impressive time of 29.32.
While Atkinson dominated both the 100 and 50 meters breaststroke, her team ‘Team Iron Star’ only managed to take third with 369.5 points behind ‘Energy Standard’ with 467.5 points and the champions, ‘London Roar’ with 458.5 points.
The events were held at the London Aquatics Center in Olympic Park.
