Barbican and Molynes United from Zone A and Brown’s Town from Zone B have already qualified for the semi-finals of the Magnum Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Super League.
Entering last weekend’s penultimate round, Brown’s Town had already secured their spot in the next phase of the competition and they were joined by Barbican and Molynes United after the matches.
Barbican stopped Pembroke Hall 3-1, through goals from Shaquille Lewis, Maliek Douglas and Deandre Folkes with Andre Brown replying for Pembroke Hall.
With the victory, Barbican moved to 30 points at the top of Zone A, two more than second-place Molynes United, who defeated Real Mona 3-1 with a brace from Jeremy Nelson and another from Sergini Frankson.
Both results mean that Barbican and Molynes United cannot be caught by third-place Maverley/Hughenden who are on 24 points, with one more round of matches to go in the preliminary stage of the competition.
Meanwhile, Brown’s Town have already topped Zone B. They are on 29 points.
There is a three-way battle for the other spot in the semi-finals, between Rockfort, Mountain View and Central Kingston. With one round to go, Rockfort are on 22 points, one more than Mountain View, with Central Kingston three points adrift of the leaders.
