Police say that the wanted man shot dead after a gun battle with security forces Saturday, in St James, was connected to up to 25 murders.
Dead is Nico Samuels, otherwise called Bowza.
Police said Samuels was a member of the former Ski Mask Gang and was wanted for several killings, including a triple murder in St James in 2017.
Officers from INDECOM and the hierarchy of the police this morning (Monday, April 30) visited the scene of gun battle following an earlier check by police. Police found more than 30 spent shells, several live rounds and two 9mm revolvers believed to be used by the gangster who kept security forces at bay for more than two hours Saturday afternoon, in Hatfield Ironshore.
It is believed the triple murder committed by Bowza in 2017 and other killings were to avenge the death of his mother.
Police sources say, however that recently he has become a hired gun, carrying out contract killings. They said in recent months, after killing one man on contract Bowza who was also connected to a gang in Barrett Town went and shot dead the man who had paid him to do the killing. Police would give no details about those alleged murders.
