Boy Dies At Munro College


Munro College, St Elizabeth, has identified one of its students found dead at the boarding institution Wednesday morning, October 9.

He is Diego DeSouza, a 14-year-old, third form student.

The Munro College family is saddened by the passing of one of Munro’s sons, Diego DeSouza, a 14-year-old student. 

A statement from the school said: “Diego can be described as an affable, well-respected, third-form student and prodigious footballer. It is surmised that he passed away in his sleep in the early hours of the morning of Wednesday, October 9, 2019. Preliminary investigations reveal that his death was due to natural causes.”

 The school family, with the assistance of trained personnel from the Ministry of Education and surrounding schools, is providing all necessary forms of support to the students and members of the school community. The Munro College family extends deepest sympathies to Diego’s family and friends.

 It is believed the boy, from Trelawny, suffered from asthma.
