A 15-year-old boy who had reportedly assaulted his mother weeks ago hugged her in court after being so instructed by a judge.
The student was asked to hug and make peace with his mother whom he had assaulted several weeks ago.
Vennesha Williams and her son are now living in harmony after several successful mediation sessions at the Kingston Family Court.
The matter came to an end last week, Thursday, March 29, when Judge Chester Crooks instructed the accused to go and hug his mother in court. The two shared a warm embrace which brought a smile to the faces of those present in the courtroom. Judge Crooks then told the Williams to continue be there for her son. He also told her she must not be ashamed of seeking help.
He also challenged the young boy to “honor thy mother and father and concentrate on school”.
