Brown’s Town Primary School Closed Following Shooting Nearby

Brown’s Town Primary School, St Ann, suspended classes today, Thursday, following a shooting incident outside the gate of the school Wednesday night.

Reports are that last evening a grocery shop adjacent to the gate of the school was shot up.

The incident has concerned residents nearby who point to two other shooting incidents that have left two men dead in the last two weeks. One of the men was killed on the Goshen Main road and the other killed Wednesday morning at Standfast, also in Brown’s Town.

The school administration at Brown’s Town Primary said it is being cautious and watching the situation and has told students to stay away today. Teachers are at school however.
