Jamaica’s Health and Wellness Minister, Dr Christopher Tufton minutes ago reported that a total of nine positive cases of the coronavirus has been confirmed.
He said that 6 of the 9 are males who have been repatriated from the United Kingdom, while two are linked to the Alorica call centre in Portmore and the other is linked to another confirmed case. This now brings the nation’s tally to 529 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Tufton also revealed that Jamaica has had the highest number of recoveries to date in the Caribbean. This is because an additional 26 persons have recovered, which now sees the nation’s recovery at 171 in total. Another good news is that the death toll remains at 9.
