The man accused of sexually assaulting two women at a hotel in Montego Bay has been hit with several charges.
Demar Dowe Scott, 24, otherwise called Ninja, of Ocho Rios, St Ann and Comfort, Manchester has been charged with illegal possession of firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, two counts of assault with intent to rob, two counts of rape and two counts of grievous sexual assault.
Scott has been in police custody since Saturday, September 29, following reports about the alleged sexual assault at a hotel in Montego Bay.
In a news release Monday afternoon, October 8, police gave details of the charges for which Scott will appear in court Wednesday, October 10.
Reports are that about 11:15 p.m., Thursday September 27, Scott forcibly entered the hotel room of two females, who are nationals of the United States of America, brandished a firearm before sexually assaulting the two women. It is reported that one of the women relieved him of the weapon and shot him before he escaped. Following investigations Scott was arrested at May Pen Hospital, Clarendon and subsequently charged.
