Doha 2019: Bloomfield, Gaye Through To 400m Hurdles Finals


Jamaicans Akeem Bloomfield and Demish Gaye have both qualified for the final of the men’s 400 metres hurdles at the 2019 IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar on Wednesday, October 2).

National Champion Gaye and twenty-one-year-old Bloomfield both qualified as the two fastest losers finishing third in their respective heats, clocking 44.66 seconds and 44.77 seconds respectively.

In the absence of defending champion and world record holder, South Africa’s Wayde Van Niekerk, a new star is expected to emerge in the final.

The final will take place on Friday at 2:20 p.m.
