The Dunnsville roadway, near Great Pond and Ocho Rios in St. Ann has been temporarily closed to vehicular traffic. The closure, which took effect Friday, November 9, is to facilitate ongoing rehabilitative works and is expected to last for the next three months.
According to the NWA, Communications and Customer Service Manager Stephen Shaw, the roadway has been closed to facilitate the construction of a box culvert and the subsequent re-paving of the surface. The works are being done as part of a rehabilitation project that will see the reconstruction of four kilometres of the roadway.
The project which commenced in September is valued at $91.5 million, and is being undertaken as part of the Major Infrastructure Development Programme (MIDP).
Motorists wishing to access the Dunnsville community are being asked to do so via the Fern Gully entrance.
