It’s time for your weekly entertainment round up and we’re kicking things off with news from the Gaza camp, as incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel was recently rushed to the University Hospital of the West Indies to undergo treatment for a medical condition. The artiste was admitted in serious but stable condition for thyroid issues on Sunday, March 3. He was treated and discharged back into custody on Wednesday. He is reported to be in good spirits. The artiste recently took to social media asking Gaza Nation to commend medical practitioners and prison officials who assisted him during his illness.

His attorney Tom Tavares-Finson in a release indicated the “the artiste is in no danger at this time, as the crisis has been brought under control”. This is Kartel’s third visit to hospital since his incarceration. News of the artiste’s illness sent social media into a frenzy.

Attorneys for Kartel last summer made an appeal against his murder conviction. The date for the outcome of the appeal is unknown.

However, the date for the announcement of the verdict is still unknown.
