A senior citizen, who fell off his motorcycle after colliding with a coaster bus and was then run over by a truck, succumbed to his injuries along the Bull Bay main road in St Andrew on Tuesday, May 15.
The victim has been identified as 78-year-old Lloyd Muir, a farmer of 11 Miles in Bull Bay.
Police reports are that at about 2 p.m., Muir was driving his motorcycle along the roadway when he crashed into the back of a Toyota Coaster bus, which reportedly did not stop. He fell onto the roadway, but before he could be assisted, he was run over by a motor truck.
The police have since questioned the driver of the motor truck. He was warned for prosecution and later released.
However, the driver of the Toyota Coaster is yet to be questioned by investigators in their ongoing probe.
Up to Wednesday, a total of 122 persons have been killed in 108 fatal crashes across Jamaica.
