Ella Mai, ‘Trip’ Find Second Reign Atop Jamaican Streams

It would seem Jamaicans can’t get enough of British songbird Ella Mai as she finds herself in familiar territory this week at the top of the local scene with her global hit ‘Trip’.

According to insights from YouTube, ‘Trip’, Ella Mai’s second number one effort here in Jamaica amassed over 137,000 streams this week – narrowly outpacing Tee Jay’s ‘Up Top Boss’ and Ariana Grande’s break-up anthem, ‘thank u, next’, placing second and third respectively.

That aside, it’s been a great week for new music as five songs made their collective debuts in the local top ten.

On the artiste side, Alkaline easily returns once again as the top act out of Jamaica, followed closely by Vybz Kartel, Popcaan, Masicka and Rygin King rounding out the top five.
