Buju Banton’s Long Walk to Freedom concert is happening Saturday night and fans and artistes are in high anticipation of the Gargamel’s performance which is being touted as an historic event.

Buju will take the stage for his first live performance since his release from prison. Also taking the stage are Chronixx, Delly Ranks, Agent Sasco, Etana, Cocoa Tea, Jahazeil Myrie, Romain Virgo, Ghost and L.U.S.T.

Buju is expected to deliver performances in several other islands across the Region, including Trinidad and Tobago, The Bahamas, Barbados, Suriname, Grenada, British Virgin Islands and St. Kitts. Jamaica is the first stop for the Long Walk to Freedom Tour.

On Friday Mas Camp was transformed for the official Welcome Party which delivered the natural vibrations from the Gargamel’s music igniting the jam packed venue. Richie Feelings, Stone Love, Massive B, JamRock and Spex Da Boss took control at the consoles, the prelude into Saturday’s event.

Sunday night after the first leg of the Long Walk to Freedom tour wraps up in Jamaica, another event will be staged at the Fiction Night Club and is expected to close curtains on the weekend of activities.

It’s Official!

Dancehall Artiste Spice returns to Love and Hip Hop Season 8. The artiste recently made the announcement after much speculations that she would not return to the franchise. The reigning Queen of Dancehall will be a major fixture this season and the Spice Gang can expect more high drama for season 8. Skin bleaching and colorism will be a major part of her storyline this season.

VH1’S Love and Hip Hop Atlanta premieres on March 25 at 8 pm EST.

Spice continues the promotion of her recently released Captured Mixtape which is available on all major platforms.

New Album from Sizzla Kalonji

Veteran Reggae/ Dancehall luminary Sizzla Kalonji is preparing for the release of his latest album. The project titled ‘Victorious’ is a 16 -track compilation, a collaborative effort between producer Richard Bramwell and Kalonji music. The album has no local or international features and Sizzla is not putting any limitations on his work, he expects that his latest project will have a global impact.

‘Victorious’ was pre released on March 11 and will be officially released on March 18, the album will only be available on digital platforms.

The “Culu Culu” deejay recently revealed that he had to undergo an emergency eye surgery, after what started out as a swelling later led to cysts found on both eyes. In the artiste’s best interest his ophthalmologist recommended surgery, which he opted for without delay to avoid further complications or setbacks to his upcoming European Tour scheduled to Start mid-April and culminate at the end of May.

New Rhythm alert!

With an already impressive portfolio, having produced successful rhythms for some of the industry heavy weights, veteran producer Richard Roache is on a winning streak with his latest projects.

‘From The Vault’, a compilation album that features14 tracks and includes selections from Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel, Wayne Marshall, Gage, Pamputae, Kalado and Mega Banton among others, executively produced by his Digital One Productions imprint.

The talented producer is leaving no stones unturned, The ‘Believe Riddim’, is another Digital One Production project, which features the likes of Patexx, Savage, Delly Ranks, Omari, GWhizz, Silver Cat, Galaxy P, Zamunda among others. The project is already creating a buzz on mainstream radio and is expected to increase momentum.

Roache received his first hit production with Vybz Kartel’s ‘Up To The Time’, a 2002 single voiced on the Scanner Rhythm. His most recent accolade would be the 2013 hit from Chronixx titled ‘Odd Ras’ Nah follow Nobody.
