Falmouth United won the Trelawny Major League football title on Sunday when they defeated Duanvale 2-1 at the Elletson Wakeland Community Centre.
Goals by Nicholas Falconer in the 10th minute and Jamar Scott in the 44th gave Falmouth the win with Kenroy Brown getting a consolation goal for Duanvale one minute into second-half added time.
Both teams ended the match with nine players as Rajiv Chung of Duanvale was ejected in the 68th minute after committing a foul and Jamar Scott of Falmouth received a second yellow card two minutes later.
Three minutes later, Phelan Christie of Falmouth and Garfield Henlon of Duanvale were both sent to the dressing room for fighting.
Meantime, the win qualifies Falmouth for next season’s Western Confederation Super League.
