Female Sex Worker Killed, Shopkeeper Arrested

A female sex worker is now dead and a shopkeeper has been taken into police custody, following a bloody brawl in Falmouth, Trelawny, on Tuesday evening, September 18.

Dead is Candice London Edwards, otherwise called “Chin”, who hails from De la Vega City, in Spanish Town. She was “doing business” in Falmouth up to the time of her death.

Reports reaching Jamaica Today are that at about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Ms Chin, who is said to be an sex worker and another female “co-worker” were operating from a location in Falmouth when an altercation developed between her and another escort.

It was reported that in the midst of the fracas, the shop operator intervened.

Edwards allegedly sprayed the shop operator with an irritant. The man reportedly fled the scene and later returned with a golf club which he used to inflict blows to Ms Edwards’ head.

She was taken to the Falmouth Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The shop operator was later taken into custody by police.
