The Hanover man accused of killing his ex-lover and their two children has been charged with murder.
Police on Sunday charged 61-year-old Paul Coote, labourer of Industry Cove, Green Island Hanover.
Those killed are: 38-year-old Adanique Cunningham of Dixon Wharf in the parish and her two children, seven-year-old Jayanna Coote and four-year-old Shanique Coote who lived with their father at Industry Cove, all in the parish. Ms Cunningham was eight months pregnant.
They were chopped to death on Wednesday, April 25, after Ms Cunninham and Mr Coote got into an argument at his house. She had gone there to prepare their children for school.
It is reported that Coote used a machete to chop the three multiple times. They were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Police were summoned and reportedly held Coote with the murder weapon as he tried to run away,
Coote has been in custody since the incident and legal aid services have been provided for him. His court date will be announced.
