Three Honduran nationals have been arrested after soldiers reportedly found ganja with a value of $2.6 million on a vessel in which they were sailing.
Police said that about 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, members of the Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard intercepted a vessel in which the Hondurans were travelling off the Coast of Negril, Westmoreland. It was searched and found to contain 656 pounds of ganja which have an estimated street value of approximately J$2.6 million. The men were subsequently handed over to the Narcotics Police.
Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
