Jamaica placed third to take the bronze medal in the Women’s 4×400 Metres relay in Doha Qatar, Sunday afternoon (local time). The Jamaicans ran 3:22.37 to take the bronze.
The USA with a very strong team won the race with a time of 3:18.92 with Poland second.
Shericka Jackson who won an individual third place in the 400 Metres and anchored Jamaica to gold in the 4×100 Metres Final, ran a blistering leg to make up ground after given the baton in fifth place. She seemed to be coming in second even in the straight but the Polish anchor came back to take second place.
This is Jamaica’s second medal on the final day of the championships, bringing the tally to 11 so far.
