After much reform, led by the Public Sector Transformation Programme, Jamaica has scored 97.4 points which puts it at number 6 among 190 countries in the World Bank Ease of Starting a Business report.
Jamaica is placed ahead of the United Kingdom, 18th and the United States 55th, and well ahead of its Caribbean neighbours: St Lucia 69th, St Vincent and the Grenadines 93rd, Trinidad & Tobago 79th, and St Kitts & Nevis 109th.
New Zealand was No.1 with 100 points.
