Minister with responsibility for Education, Karl Samuda, moments ago confirmed that after having consultations with a few secondary school principals and teachers, along with senior representatives of the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC), Jamaican students will write their Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examination this year.
Minister Samuda explained that exams will begin from July 27 to August 27, under the new system previously announced.
He also explains that understanding the inadequate internet service across the country, some schools are more equipped than others. However, his ministry is working with a few entities such as ready tv to remedy the problem.
Sumuda also explained that through resources in his ministry transportation for students is being examined and he will provide more details soon.
