Jamaicans Localise Protest To Globalize Message

Many Jamaicans are now demonstrating outside the United States Embassy on Hope Road in St Andrew, citing local injustices while sending their message global: “All black lives matter,” and reminding America of its own injustices against blacks, the latest of which is George Floyd, whose death has sparked widespread protesters as far away as New Zealand. Earlier this week reggae artist Nature Ellis led a demonstration along Constant Spring Road to protest the killing of George Floyd.
