Despite the early downpour of rain in Montego Bay on Emancipation Day, August 1, thousands of patrons turned out to enjoy the annual Montego Bay Jerkfest, held at the Catherine Hall Entertainment complex in Montego Bay, St James.
The day’s activities saw several kiddies’ games and facilities, such as bounce about, rock climbing, trampoline, playing with the clown, go cart, face painting and many more.
The real sparks began in the night with the stage show where Jabez and Joan Flemmings appeared in this segment as the two major special Gospel artistes.
It was then left up to the dancehall segment, where the most entertaining performance came from new sensation, the energetic Daddy One on stage. Others who also did well were Nami Crissy, Tee Jay, Jah Cure, Bee Hives and Lil Chappa. The promoters of this event always give back something to charity.
Here are some of the highlights.
