A taxi driver was chased and chopped to death by the common-law husband of a woman in Spanish Town on Saturday. The man, Clarence Clarke, of Clarendon, was hacked to death by a construction worker who reportedly went home to find Clarke in a compromising position with his girlfriend.
The incident took place on Saturday in the White Water Boulevard in Spanish Town.
Reports said that about 9:20 p.m., Clarke went to visit the woman. The woman’s common-law husband went by shortly after and saw Clarke. The men argued and then fought.
Clarke left but was attacked by the irate construction worker, who it is alleged used a machete to chop him, partially severing his head. He was pronounced dead at the Spanish Town Hospital.
