The organisers of the premier event ‘Dream Weekend’, are still uncertain about the decision to be taken regarding this year’s staging of the event. The annual party series held in the resort town of Negril.
In a statement released yesterday, the Dream Weekend team noted that no definitive decision can be made presently, stating reasons such as closed borders and the cease order on the issuing of event permits as reasons for the lengthy wait for an announcement.
However, the party promoters have set June 15 as their final date to decide the 2020 edition.
“Based on where we are in the year, we remain optimistic of a 2020 staging. That said, we recognise the need for patrons to plan for travel and accommodation…It is primarily for this reason [that] we have set a deadline for no later than June 15, 2020 to make a final decision on whether [or not] to proceed on August 5-9, 2020, or postpone Dream Weekend to a later date,” the statement read.
The annual party series held in the resort town of Negril, has become a standard on the annual entertainment calendar.
