The Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness, today, Saturday, June 27, finally travelled to Linstead in St. Catherine and met with the parents of slain cop Constable Decardo Hylton.
He was accompanied by the commissioner of police Major General Antony Anderson and members of his media unit.
The meeting followed questions and concerns from the families of both Hylton and Corporal Dane Biggs that the PM was yet to visit.
PM Holness was greeted by Hylton’s family, a few friends, and his parents Janet and Churchill Hamilton.
He expressed his deepest sympathies saluted the parents for raising such an outstanding man who decided to sever and protect Jamaica by joining the police force and being an upstanding lawman.
Commissioner Anderson agreed that Constable Hylton was indeed an outstanding member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
We are not aware if the Prime Minister and his team made or will be making a similar visit to the family home of Corporal Dane Biggs in Manchester and or Old Harbour.
More details to come.
