‘Long Walk…’ Gets Going On Time!

Surprise! Surprise to many! The Long Walk to Freedom Concert started at 8 o’clock sharp as the promoters had said, breaking away from the long tradition of local shows getting started hours after schedule.

At 8 o’clock Wayne Marshal took the stage at the National Stadium with his ‘Glory to God’ a fitting reflection on the return of Buju Banton to his people. People looked at their watches and phones and remarked at the on-time start.

He was followed immediately by Jahazeil Myrie, one of the Gargamel’s sons.

The action actually started before 8 o’clock to an almost full stadium when upcoming artistes took the stage and technical effects and props were fine tuned.

Lots of big artistes will come before the Gargamel who people have come from as far as Europe and South America to see.

Other acts on later are Chronixx, Delly Ranks, Agent Sasco, Etana, Cocoa Tea, Romain Virgo, Ghost and L.U.S.T.

Stay with JamaicaToday for action through the show.
