Man Charged In Murder Of Trelawny Businesswoman

A man has been charged for the murder of a Trelawny woman killed at her place of business on November 2.

Charged with murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of a firearm is Levaughn Williams, 26. He was listed by police as a person of interest in the murder of 50-year-old businesswoman Jacqueline Cargill Gardener, in Falmouth.

Police say Williams was one of three men who burst into Mrs Gardener’s business place in the Trelawny capital Friday afternoon, November 2 and shot her dead.

A licenced firearm holder who was at the scene challenged the men and shot two of them. One died and the other is under police guard in hospital. Williams turned himself in to police after he was named a person of interest.
