The cane cutter charged for the brutal murder of a 74-year-old shopkeeper at her home three weeks ago, is to appear before the St Thomas Parish Court today (Monday, March 26).
He is 34-year-old Marlon Sinclair of Spanish Town in St Catherine.
Sinclair was charged last week in relation to the killing of Eugene James of Duckenfield in St Thomas on Sunday, March 4.
Police reports are that a resident was passing James’ house, when he realized the gate to the premises was opened and went to investigate.
James’ body was later found on the floor with her hands tied, mouth gapped and her throat slashed.
Police investigators have determined that robbery was a motive for the senior citizen’s killing as several items from her grocery shop were stolen.
