Police expect to charge a man they have held in connection with the death of a British-Jamaican woman whose body was dug from a shallow grave Monday, December 3.
Dead is 43-year-old Karen Cleary Brown, beautician of Paradise Edge in Boscobel and Pentonville Road London, England.
Her decomposing body with stab wounds was dug from a shallow grave in Boscobel where she was building her dream home. She had lived in England for the last 20 years.
The man arrested and expected to be charged is a labourer/caretaker who reportedly worked on the house for Ms. Cleary-Brown.
Police reports are that Ms. Cleary-Brown was reported missing by the man who is now a suspect in her death. They said that on Sunday, November 25, inconsistencies were detected in a missing person report filed for Ms. Carey Brown by the suspect, causing detectives to immediately widen and intensify their investigations. Those investigations led them to her home in Boscobel where her decomposing body was found in a shallow grave about 5:30 p.m. on Monday, December 3.
It is also reported that the man confessed to killing Ms. Brown and took police to the area where her body was dug up. The suspect was taken into custody.
His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
