NCB Spends Millions On Skills Training For Those Unemployed By COVID-19


The National Commercial Bank (NCB), through its NCB Foundation is currently sifting through the ton of scholarship applicants.

A total of 3,000 Jamaicans are to receive the scholarships, which will allow each to acquire new skills for Jamaica now and in the future. It will also see a few beginning to earn an income once again.

The program is expected to cost the bank approximately $25 million, which is a part of its plan to contribute $75 million in scholarship and grants, to assist the unemployed in acquiring new skills in a wide range of digital/new media courses.

This is through the partnership of these institutions: iCreate, Internet Income Jamaica, and Northern Caribbean University.
