OPM Calls ‘Urgent’ Press Conference

The Office of the Prime Minister in the wee hours of the morning today, Sunday, June 14, sent out a call for what it calls an URGENT press conference.

No details were given for its purpose, however, our newsroom and other reporters are of the view that it is highly because of two reasons.

One such is that today the new curfew takes effect from 10:00 P.M. to 5:00 A.M. the next day and will continue to be such until the end of June.

The other is, come tomorrow Monday, June 15, international travelers for business and pleasure will be allowed on the island and the tourism industry will officially reopen.

Additionally, a security update is expected from PM Andrew Holness and the Commissioner of Police Anthony Anderson.

The press conference is slated to take place at 10 A.M. via the Zoom meeting platform.
