Minister of Information Senator Ruel Reid has announced Cabinet’s approval of over $355 million for the infrastructural rehabilitation of Greenwich and Denham towns in Kingston and St. Andrew.
Speaking at a post-Cabinet press briefing at the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), in St. Andrew, on Wednesday, October 17, Senator Reid said the Greenwich project, being undertaken by the Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) is to the tune of $169,964,188.70.
Reid explained that the contract was awarded to Stone Plus Limited in keeping with Greenwich Town Integrated Infrastructure project for the undertaking of rehabilitative works in the community.
The second contract, awarded to Contraxx Enterprises Limited was approved to the tune of $186,304,628.10 to carry out rehabilitative work under the Denham Town Integrated Infrastructure Project.
