People Dying Needlessly In US

In the United States, COVID-19 has killed some 93,000 people and infected nearly 1.6 million to date.

But a new model just out suggests that only 15,000 people should have died and 288,000 infected, had social distancing been implemented two weeks earlier.

According to the model, 84% of deaths and 82% of cases could have been prevented, if the government had not procrastinated in ordering and enabling social distancing.

President Donald Trump is said to have prematurely ended state lockdown, which may have caused the huge spread in towns and rural communities from Iowa to Texas, the epicenter of his support base.
