Person Of Interest In Businesswoman’s Murder Turns Self In

Police have confirmed that a man listed as a person of interest in the murder of a Trelawny business woman has turned himself in.
He is Lavaugh Williams.

He was listed as a person of interest at the weekend and was accompanied by a minister of religion in turning himself in to police.

Williams was named following the shooting death of 54-year-old businesswoman Jacqueline Cargill Gardener, in Falmouth, Friday afternoon, November 2.

Two of three men who burst into Mrs. Gardener’s office at her store were shot by a licensed firearm holder who challenged them. One was killed and another wounded and placed under police guard.

Dead is Phillip Grinnel, 31, and in hospital is Theomara Shaw.

Police are expected to interview Williams by Tuesday.
