PNP Says Arrests Are Important Steps Against Corruption

The People’s National Party (PNP) says it regards the taking into custody of Ruel Reid, Fritz Pinnock “and others” as a beginning, but important step in Jamaica’s efforts to clean up corruption and create an environment of good governance and probity in public affairs.

In a statement this afternoon, the PNP said it was still too early to make a detailed statement. The Party said it is closely monitoring the situation and awaiting further announcements by the Financial Investigations Divisions (FID), the Major Organised Crime Agency (MOCA) on the charges to be laid, before further comment.
