A police corporal has been taken into custody following the seizure of cocaine and more than one million dollars in cash from a vehicle he was driving.
The Narcotics Police have commenced investigations into the seizure of the cocaine weighing about one kilogram of cocaine and the cash on the Porus main road in Manchester on Friday, November 9.
Reports are that about 4:20 p.m., a Toyota motorcar was intercepted by the Police along the Porus main road. It was being driven by a police corporal from the Corporate Area. He was in the company of another male.
During a search of the policeman, the other man and the vehicle, the illicit drug and cash were found.
Both the drug and the cash were seized and the men taken into custody. The identities of the men are being withheld pending further investigations.
