Police Seized 3 Guns, Several Rounds In Kingston And Montego Bay

Police on Monday seized three guns and several rounds of ammunition in separate operations in Kingston and Montego Bay, St James.

The Elletson Road Police, Kingston seized two firearms and several rounds of ammunition at separate locations in Kingston on Monday, March 11. A woman was arrested in connection with one of the incidents in which ammunition was seized.

Reports are that between 11:40 a.m., and 2:30 p.m. a police team conducted an operation at a premises on Water Street during which one .45 pistol containing four .45 rounds of ammunition was seized. Then, on Charlotte Street one Taurus Magnum pistol along with six .357 rounds of ammunition was seized;

A woman was also taken into custody on Tower Street after one 9mm round of ammunition was found in her possession. Her identity is being withheld.

Meanwhile, a firearm and several rounds of ammunition were seized during an operation on Granville Drive in Granville, St. James on Monday, March 11. One man, whose identity is being withheld was taken into custody.

The Granville Police say that about 7:45 a.m., a police team conducted an operation during which one .38 revolver containing three .38cartridges was seized.

Investigations continue.
