PPV OPERATORS WITH OVER 1000 TICKETS CONVICTED

 

The three men who were arrested during operations in Kingston and St. Catherine on Friday, September 20 by members assigned to the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB), were convicted after appearing in the Kingston and St Andrew Traffic Court on Monday, September 23.

Forty-year-old Roger Bartley, bus operator of Eltham View, Spanish Town, St. Catherine who has 1028 outstanding tickets was fined $84,000 and his license suspended for 2 years, thirty-nine-year-old Andrew Bailey, taxi operator of Tavern Crescent, Kingston 6 who has 272 outstanding tickets was fined $72,000 and his license suspended for 1 year, while thirty-six-year-old Duwayne Barrett, taxi operator of Stony Hill, St. Andrew who has 189 outstanding tickets was fined $54,000 and his license suspended for two years.

The three men were arrested for breaches of the Road Traffic Act
