Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz topped Group B of the CONCACAF Caribbean Women’s qualifying round Sunday following a come-from-behind 2-2 draw with hosts Haiti.
Michele Dumonay in the 24th minute and Sherly Jeudy in the 43rd, had given Haiti 2-0 lead as they looked to secure the top spot in the group. However, Trudi Carter reduced the deficit in the 44th before Khadija Shaw scored in the 65th to earn the draw.
It ensured that Jamaica won the group on goal difference over Haiti as both teams finished with seven points each.
Martinique defeated Guadeloupe 3-0 in the first match to finish third on three points. Guadeloupe lost all three matches and ended without a point.
By topping the group, the Reggae Girlz advanced to the final round of qualifiers scheduled for August 25-September 2.
