Reggae Sunsplash, last held 14 years ago, is back, it was announced over the weekend.
Organizers, through the event’s official Instagram account, revealed on Saturday, February 8 that, come November, Sunsplash will take place at Grizzly Plantation in Runaway Bay, St. Ann. They said it will showcase an exclusive line up.
Sunsplash is use to having the best of the best which back then included Reggae King, Bob Marley and the legendary acts such as Jimmy Cliff, Third World, Toots and the Maytals, Burning Spear, Jacob Miller.
Many are expecting a similarly stellar line-up.
The event was seen as the blueprint for other festivals and is coming back after 14-year of silence. The last time it was healed was in 2006 however, it began 1978, 42 years ago, when it was founded by Synergy Productions.
Reggae Sunsplash is now owned by Guardsman Group Ltd and will be produced through eMedia Interactive Group Ltd., subsidiary Vertical Creative Ltd to which Tyrone Wilson is the founder/CEO.
Managing the daily operations of executing the event will be Debbie Bissoon and Randy Mattis.
Reggae Sunsplash will take place November 6-8.
