Bajan Superstar Rihanna has pledged to help the Bahamas in their time of need. The artiste will be assisting with relief efforts after the country was devastated by Hurricane Dorian.
The singer in a tweet shared how she felt about the disaster. She tweeted, “It truly breaks my heart to see the complete devastation that #HurricaneDorian is having on the Bahamas!” She later posted another tweet vowing to help, “You are in our prayers and @ClaraLionelFdn is already figuring out how best we can help! #HurricaneDorain #Bahamas”
Rihanna started the Clara Lionel Foundation back in 2012 in honour of her grandparents. The Foundation was setup to support and fund groundbreaking and effective education, health, and emergency response programmes around the world, according to its official website. Current programmes or projects include primary and secondary education in Malawi, Senegal, and her birthplace Barbados.
Hurricane Dorian has left a path of destruction through Bahamas, with at least 20 people reported dead.
