Road Protest In Three Hills, St Mary

The roads into the Three Hills community, St Mary have been blocked by protestors.

Residents and taxi operators used tree trunks and debris to block the roadway since early this morning. They are protesting against the multiple pot holes and poor state of the road surface on parts of the roadway from its intersection with the North Coast highway, leading from Ocho Rios, to Charles Town.

Even roads through Retreat that could serve as alternative routes have been blocked.

Commuters from Three Hills, Charles Town, Ross Common, Valley Bush and Country Club have been affected.

Reports to Jamaica Today are that Police have been on the scene since before 7 o’clock but the roadways remain blocked.
