The Road Safety Unit has reported that 324 people have been killed in traffic crashes.
Statistics reveal that 64% of fatalities are those who are motorcyclists, pedestrians, pedal-cyclists, and pillions.
The unit also broke down the parish with the highest tally with Westmoreland topping the list for most road deaths with 35 persons killed. Other parishes include St. James with 30, St. Catherine North at 29, St. Ann 27, Clarendon and St. Catherine each with 26 road fatalities.
The road safety unit along with the Ministry of Transport and Mining urges all to exercise greater caution when using the roads whether you are a pedestrian or a motorist, drive and walk with care.
