In the wake of the killing of wanted man Niko Samuels on Saturday, the security forces have launched a manhunt for other persons believed to have been in the house along with the now deceased criminal.
Samuel otherwise called Bowza was wanted for a triple murder committed in 2017, was killed during a two-hour standoff with police in Ironshore, St. James. However, police believe he was not alone at the premises where their information said the wanted man was in hiding.
“We have received information that more men may have been in the house and as a result we have stepped our search for these individuals,” a police source told JamaicaToday.
On Saturday, the security forces descended on a house in Ironshore where they came under heavy fire. Two policemen were shot and injured during the exchange of gunfire. At the end of it all, Samuel lay dead and the security forces recovered two firearms.
